About Mrs. Godbout

I have been working in Gilford School District for the past 15 years.  I have also taught in Laconia and Rochester, New Hampshire, as well as Lowell, Massachusetts.  I have enjoyed teaching children in first, fourth, and fifth grades, as well as teaching nursery school.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree from the Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire.

As a lifelong learner, I am excited about our learning adventure this year! Our grade level team includes Mrs. Nash-Boucher, Mrs. Stow, Mrs. Wagner, Mrs. Coffey, and myself.  It is our belief that children learn in unique and different ways.  Our goal is to help children become lifetime learners.   In our classrooms, learners will be engaged in learning experiences in many different ways.  We will continually assess children's progress and create learning experiences to meet each child's learning needs.  Small group instruction, as well as  one-to-one learning situations, whole group work, and online learning will occur daily.  Learners will be involved in setting their own learning goals and collecting evidence about their learning.  Children move about and learn from their peers and teachers.  A great deal of time is spent in building confidence, making friendships, and developing good work habits.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I love to sing (I have a song for every occasion), read, and visit the seashore.
